AWARD-WINNING RADIO PERSONALITY SABINA D’GREAT BEATS CANCER, SHARES REMARKABLE TESTIMONY

Award-winning radio and media personality, minister and popularly known “NaijaPastor,” Sabina D’Great, is celebrating a life-changing milestone after completing an extensive cancer treatment journey and receiving medical confirmation that she is cancer-free.

For Sabina, it is more than a medical victory. It is a testimony of faith, resilience, community, and the people who stood with her through one of the most difficult seasons of her life.

Her journey began in April 2024, when she discovered a lump in her breast. After further medical investigations, including a biopsy, she was diagnosed with HER2-positive breast cancer on March 25, 2025.

At first, Sabina chose not to make the diagnosis public. Instead, she shared the news with a trusted circle of family members, close friends, ministry leaders and prayer partners. Throughout the journey, she held firmly to the words of Isaiah 53:5 while also committing herself fully to medical treatment.

What followed was an intense course of chemotherapy, surgery, radiation and immunotherapy.

The road was far from easy. After her first chemotherapy cycle, Sabina experienced severe complications that required emergency medical intervention and critical care. Yet, despite the physical and emotional toll, she continued with treatment.

She credits much of the strength she found during that period to the extraordinary support surrounding her — particularly her daughter, Debbie, who became her primary caregiver. Her siblings, friends, church communities, ministry partners and a wider network of supporters also rallied around the family with prayers, encouragement, practical assistance and financial support.

Then came the breakthrough she had been praying for.

Following surgery in October 2025, Sabina attended a post-surgery appointment and received what she now calls her “Proof of Testimony” — a medical report showing no detectable cancer.

“God gave me a testimony that sounds like a lie.”

The journey, however, was not yet over. Sabina continued with the remaining stages of her treatment until August 24, 2026, when she finally rang the treatment-completion bell at Precision Cancer Center in Katy, Houston.

Her oncologist, Dr. Monalisa Alatar, alongside Dr. Kevin, chemotherapy nurses and loved ones, witnessed the emotional moment.

Her breast specialist and surgeon, Dr. Tamara Saunders, and radiologist, Dr. Pham, subsequently cleared her, bringing to a close a treatment journey that had included chemotherapy, surgery, radiation and immunotherapy.

For Sabina, the victory belongs not only to her. She sees her recovery as a testimony to the people, prayers and medical professionals who carried her through the experience.

She particularly honours Debbie for standing beside her during the hardest moments, as well as her siblings and the many individuals, churches and ministry communities that supported her spiritually, emotionally, practically and financially.

But even as she recovered from cancer, Sabina faced another devastating chapter.

In April 2026, while rebuilding her strength and preparing to return to active life, she lost her beloved eldest sister, Flora. The loss plunged her into a season of profound grief and depression at a time when she was still recovering physically and emotionally from cancer treatment.

Through it all, Sabina says her faith remained at the centre of her journey.

Today, she is choosing to turn that experience into a message of hope, faith, resilience and gratitude for others facing circumstances that may appear impossible.

Her testimony also carries a message about the relationship between faith and medicine. While she firmly credits God for her healing, Sabina openly acknowledges the doctors, nurses and medical treatments that formed an essential part of her recovery.

“Yahweh heals,” Sabina says. “He may use a route you are not familiar with, but Yahweh heals.”

Now stepping into a new chapter of her life, Sabina D’Great is opening her story to a wider audience.

She is available for speaking engagements, partnerships and collaborations across gospel, secular, community and advocacy platforms, particularly opportunities that allow her to share her testimony and encourage people from diverse backgrounds and abilities.

Her story also connects with her wider ministry, media and social-impact work through Perfect Realm Worship Ministries, Deborah-David Care Aide Network, Sabina Alfred Media, The Alfred-Winifred Women Foundation, Pennet Services and Joyful Connections.

After months of treatment, uncertainty, pain, prayer, medical intervention, grief and perseverance, Sabina sums up her journey in one powerful declaration:

FROM AGGRESSIVE CANCER TO CANCER-FREE.

“To God be all the glory.”
